Audiovisual Experimentation
Into the Universes is an audiovisual event series based in Amsterdam, presented by Stichting voor de Vage Kunsten. Each edition pairs live electronic music with visual artists producing imagery in real time, across roughly three hours.
The foundation exists to encourage cross-pollination between experimental electronic music and visual art. The series is built as a space where artists can experiment, collaborate, and develop new work outside the conventional club context, and where a community of makers and audiences can form around it.
Editions have taken place at DOKA in Amsterdam and in collaboration with partners including IKLEKTIC in London and ZeroBPM during Amsterdam Dance Event. The series has been supported by the Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst.
This edition at DOKA focused on new collaborations between music and visual art. Luke Eliott's ambient live set paired with Jamal Ageli's filmic desert imagery lit by moonlight from Tunisia. VOAL debuted their first collaborative ambient performance, while Mathilde Nobel delivered a powerful solo act.

Our first edition was an international collaboration with London's IKLEKTIC. The evening brought together Amsterdam and London's audiovisual scenes, creating new artistic connections through carefully curated live performances at DOKA.
